At home and the trips over. This will be my last post.

A couple of shots I thought I'd save till the end. This happened on Carretere Austral when my ambition got the better of my talent! I was very lucky and walked away with only my prided dented, and a broken mirror.
Before and after, two pictures, one at the start of the trip and one at the finish. I'm at home now after spending a week in Buenos Aires with my wife Jan. The trip has been without doubt the best thing I've ever done.  I'd like to thank Globebusters for taking us along some of the best riding roads in the world and taking us to some fantastic places. I have made some great new friends and now have a different view of the world. Finally I would like to thank my wife Janet and my business partner Bob, who without their support the trip would not have been possible.

And now the end is near, and so I face my final curtain.

Jan outside of Casa Minima the smallest house in Buenos Aires.
Not sure who this is supposed to be? Che Guevara perhaps, but it looks more like David Beckham
 Jan and her friend?
Cafe Tortoni the oldest cafe in Buenos Aires.
Jan next to that cheating Argentinian bast@£d a great player though and worshipped like a god here.
Boca, a run down area of Buenos Aires, not a place to wander in like we did!!
The view from our hotel window down Avenida 9 de Julio, which runs through the heart of the city.

 Eve (Evita) Peron's family Mausoleum.
A day trip to Uruguay. The light house, which you can climb, in Colonia.
Uruguay my 14th country on this trip, and well worth the visit.

Riding Ruta 3 to Buenos Aires

The ride to Buenos Aires up Ruta 3 for over 2000 miles, quite boring riding compared to the roads we have ridden over the last four months.
Back on the ferry over the Magellan Straight.
They do like their statues in Argentina, and most of South/Central America to be honest
A group of over 200Volvo drivers doing a tour of South America, they're going to have fun getting fuel for the cars, especially in Argentina where fuel can be hard to come by.
 An unusual bike trailer!!
 Another hotel in beautiful surroundings.
Exiting a toll going into Buenos Aires, we ride in as a group.
At last we've arrived, all the boys in the black and white suits.
Giving the bike a kiss, its brought me safely over 22000 miles.
A night at a Tango club

Taking a boat trip from Ushuiai to visit seals and penguins

 Seals lazing around.

Riding the final miles south into Ushuiai.

The ferry to take us across the Magallanes Straight to Tierra Del Fuego.
The sign says it all. Welcome to Tierra del Fuego.
Las Malvinas son (are) Argentinas. I don't think so!!
The Falklands war memorial for the fallen Argentine soilders in Rio Grande, Tierra del Fuego.
Arriving at the entrance to the town of Ushuiai, the most southern town in the world.
 Me.
The end of the most Southern road in the world Lapataia. Any further South and your in the Antartic Ocean. This is quite a moment. From here on in its North all the way to Buenos Aires.
The whole of the 2011 Transamerican team. Over 20'000 miles through13 countries from Prudhoe Bay Alaska, the most Northern town in the World, to Ushuiai the most Southern town. I've enjoyed every minute of it. I've made some great new friends and visited some of the most amazing places, and doing it on a motorcycle has made it even more special. But its not quite over yet because we've still got 2000 miles to ride to Buenos Aires, where we will ship the bikes back to the UK. So watch this space there's yet more to come.
"Ushuiai fin del mondo" The end of the world.

Ruta 40 and Torres Del Paine

I don't know why, but I love the look of these signes, what do you think Lynne and Tom?
Patagonia a very large and barron place.
Hundreds and hundreds of miles on gravel roads, its what the BMW R1200 GS Adventurer was built for.
Torres Del Paine National Park Chile.
 Torres Del Paine.
Is'nt that just one of the most picturesce scenes. The picture dosen't really do it justice.
